Component cluster: Suppliers invited to join

From Mark Gibbings
Pinetown (SA) –
The Steering Committee for the establishment of the Footwear and Accessories Component Cluster met today, 9 November 2016 and have appointed a Consultant, Amar Sooklal, to establish the Cluster. As a result of his engagement, the Cluster is now inviting all interested Component Manufacturers and Suppliers who would be interested to be part of the Cluster, to email: karen.bowman@apeco.co.za, to register their interest. The Consultant will then visit each interested member, who will have to furnish him with the following information, where applicable:

1. Bargaining Council Compliance Certificate (letter DoL)
2. Proof of Compliance with Environmental Regulations
3. Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
4. AFS
5. Management Accounts
6. Business Profile
7. Employment stats or EEP
8. Company Registration docs and Proof of Address
9. ID Docs and Proof of Address of Company Representatives

There will also be a requirement of a small refundable contribution towards the establishment of the Cluster, which amount will be advised once we have the full number of registered members.
Once the FACC is registered and funds are made available, the cost for establishing the Cluster will then be re-paid to each member.
We also ask that if you would like to be part of the Steering Committee that you indicate your interest, as from this Committee a Board of Directors, not exceeding 5 members, will be elected to take responsibility of the running of the FACC.
Please respond before 18 November 2016. – [karen.bowman@apeco.co.za]
