Allfashion Sourcing: 'Covid has forced us to be resourceful'
Published: 10th Dec 2020
Cape Town, W. Cape, SA - On behalf of the Messe Frankfurt South African team, we would like to thank our exhibitors, sponsors, partners and attendees for their participation at the virtual edition of allfashion sourcing, a digital business oriented marketplace for the textile and fashion industry.
“Covid-19 has stretched the limits of anyone’s imagination, but that stretch had resulted in innovation and the use of technology as a powerful tool to empower economic recovery. Businesses and buyers alike were searching for cost effective means to market and source quality products at good prices. The virtual edition of allfashion sourcing facilitated the quest to continue supporting the apparel, textile, footwear, leather and fashion industries in Southern Africa,” says Kathryn Frew, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt SA.
The 3-day online event showcased 194 virtual exhibitors and welcomed 2742 visitors from 13 different countries to the platform. The event featured 10 seminar sessions that saw a total of 601 seminar attendees. Another big pull to the platform was the announcement of the winner for the Young Designers Competition which took place online.
The virtual platform remains live for 3-months allowing visitors to meet, network and source from exhibitors, as well as rewind the seminar sessions and trend talks. Should you wish to join the virtual marketplace, you can register for free at www.allfashionsourcing.com
