Furniture leather: Hannitan’s Atlantis plant to be called…Hannitan Atlantis
Published: 20th Jun 2023
Springs, Gauteng, SA – Further to the article in the 05 June issue of the S&V Weekly Newsletter, Hannitan’s new crusting plant, which is planned to open in Atlantis, outside Cape Town, in August, will trade as Hannitan Atlantis.
Hannitan makes mainly leather for furniture upholstery.
It will process around 1 000 wet blue and wet white hides/day to crust.
Most will be sent to Hannitan’s Springs plant, but it will also export.
Hannitan MD Rudolf Hanni said the reason for choosing Atlantis was a more reliable electricity supply, which would help the business overcome bottlenecks in Springs.
