Pinetown, KZN, SA – The Beier Group, which includes the BBF Safety Group, in December hosted the Department of Higher Education & Training (DHET) and the FP&M SETA for an oversight visit to ensure that state funds are being used in accordance with the Sectoral Skills Plan.
DHET deputy minister Dr Mimmy Martha Gondwe and SETA CEO Dr Felleng Yende toured the group, which makes technical textiles and PPE.
Warren Sachs, Beier Group CEO, said the operating plants “are actively run by leaders who mostly have been impacted by the support and programmes that are offered at the Hans Beier Centre for Learning, in partnership with Skills Development Partners. Moreover, the support and guidance from the FP&M SETA on sector skills planning and execution, has enabled the Beier Group to continue delivering on industrialisation, transformation, and development.
“The alignment of priorities between the Department of Higher Education… the FP&M SETA and the Beier Group epitomises the notion that we truly are ‘Better Together’. We’re not just building careers - we’re transforming lives, shaping industries, and forging a brighter future for South Africa.”
