The Green T range includes a high percentage of recycled materials.

Cape Town, W. Cape, SA – Elan-Polo SA MD Stuart Worrall has launched a sneaker range made largely from recycled materials.

The Green T range – currently 5 styles selling online for R1400 – have uppers and linings made entirely from recycled polyester/PET, insoles with 85% recycled PU content, and outsoles with 35% recycled rubber content.

Wholesale is via Elan-Polo SA. Elan Polo is also “looking for distributors who see the potential in a brand like this”.

“This project is close to my heart,” he wrote on the website, https://greentfootwear.co.za/. “It’s inspired by the beauty of our oceans and the impact of plastic pollution.”
In an email, he added: “To build a South African Sneaker Brand rooted in circular design, transparency, and purpose, we’re actively working toward developing an end-of-life take-back programme, so our shoes can be reused or responsibly recycled, reducing waste and keeping them out of landfills.”

The shoes are made in China.
