SATRA updates slipper test method

Kettering (UK) – SATRA has updated a footwear test method following an increase in demand for the evaluation of the washable slippers, according to a release on June 30.

However, in recent years SATRA has seen a growth in demand for the testing of unstructured footwear such a slippers and manufacturers have asked that their products to be tested at a washing temperature of 30ºC in line with advances in modern washing machines that allow items to be washed at low temperatures. The number of wash cycles has also been reduced to three to reflect the disposable nature of these products.
