Sutherland Tannery: Talks continue

Pietermaritzburg (SA) – Interested parties in negotiations with the business rescue practitioners handling Sutherland Tannery (Pty) Ltd are currently involved in due diligence investigations, Neil Button of Stowell & Co. said today.
        He said it was not expected that any deal would be concluded before January or February 2017.
        None of the parties has been named. At least 1 is foreign.

 

 

Hillcrest Shoe Centre sold

Durban (SA) – George Demosthenous has sold Hillcrest Shoe Centre to Mike and Lorna Clark.

Appointment

Cape Town (SA) – Former divisional cosmetic brand manager of The Foschini Group, Samantha Pillay, has been appointed as sales manager for ladies formal at Bolton Footwear, tasked with building these brands within the group. She has 13 years’ experience in the retail and fashion industry, and holds a Retail Management Diploma. She plans to complete a Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting over the next 2 years.

 

 

ABSA Agri Trends 15/11: Hides & skins prices

The average bovine hide price over the past week was R15.19/kg green. Hide prices are determined by the average of RMAA and independent companies.
        The average price for Dorper skins was R35.45/skin and Merino was R80.00/skin.
